The International Women’s Entrepreneurial Challenge Foundation (IWEC) Foundation

About The IWEC Foundation

Empowering Women Entrepreneurs Globally

The International Women’s Entrepreneurial Challenge Foundation (IWEC Foundation) is a 501c(3) registered nonprofit organization with headquarters in New York City. As a global initiative, we provide market intelligence, networking, educational, and mentoring opportunities for successful women business owners. We support them in gaining and expanding access into international markets and in growing their visibility and brands. Our partners are chambers of commerce and global women business organizations.

Since its inception, the IWEC Foundation’s network has grown to a vibrant group of 337 successful women business owners from 40 countries. We believe that closing the gap between female and male entrepreneurship not only fuels economic growth but also drives the social and cultural empowerment of women everywhere.

We Elevate Successful Female Owners of Midsize Businesses

The IWEC Foundation presents a worldwide forum for the exchange of knowledge, experience, visibility, and connectivity among women business owners, setting the stage for new opportunities and joint ventures, and promoting social dialog among women entrepreneurs and business leaders.

Empowering Female Entrepreneurs Through Global Opportunities

Our Mission Is to Provide and Continue to Grow a Global Network That Drives Women’s Entrepreneurial Empowerment.

Since the IWEC Foundation’s inception on 2007, our goal has been to support successful midsize women-owned businesses in gaining and expanding access into international markets and in growing their visibility and brands.

Visibility

Visibility

Recognize successful women business owners on a global scale. Each year our chambers of commerce and women’s business affiliates choose successful women business owners from their network to honor them and present them awards at our annual conference. IWEC also follows all of our past awardees on social media and helps them to gain more visibility through postings and re-postings to the broad international IWEC network. Past awardees are featured in IWEC’s monthly newsletter and are invited to participate in local events globally focused on successful women business owners.
Education

Education

Provide education to support and further advance women-owned business growth through shared business opinions and intel on economics, country focus and industries. IWEC gathers information and provides it to our network as well as imparts face-to-face education at our annual themed conferences.
Connections

Connections

Create a global network and enable female entrepreneurs to connect locally, nationally, and internationally. Our connections with global chambers of commerce, women’s business organizations and their networks enable IWEC to expand connectivity for all of our past awardees. Our internal communications platform (in development) provides a tool for our network to connect as well as our website and social media platforms.
Market Intelligence

Market Intelligence

Provide data and insights to drive global economic growth. Chambers of Commerce and local government economics reports are available and circulated to provide our CEOs to determine what markets are good for their services and products. In addition, the chamber leaders are available 24/7 to connect our CEOs to other local agencies and business owners to also provide intel and local links to businesses and industries.
